Councillor Helen Rujbally has a professional background supporting people with learning disabilities and Autism.
In 2016 Helen’s home was flooded, as a result she joined the Caterham Flood Action Group which led to her becoming a Parish and District Councillor for Westway ward.
During her time in these roles Helen has worked hard to ensure that Caterham is better prepared to deal with future flood incidents.
She helped set up the John Orrick Memory Tree raising £2489 for the Westway Christmas at Home scheme and, more recently, Connectivity for Kids which has assisted 56 families in the area get online for home schooling. Helen’s most recent project is Let’s Connect aiming to connect those affected by loneliness in the current crisis.
