Claire Coutinho votes to put Tandridge at risk from Fracking
Annette goes on to say “If Claire is totally opposed to fracking as she says that she is, she should have had no problem in voting to ban it. People will never be able to trust local Tories with the environment.”
There are 5 licences in place which allow oil and gas companies to extract petroleum across Tandridge.. In 2019, the government ended support for fracking as scientific analysis found that it was not possible to accurately predict the probability or magnitude of earthquakes linked to fracking. This ban has now been overturned by the Tory government.
All Liberal Democrat MP’s voted to support the ban on fracking.
